My biggest undertaking at the time it was made. This piece is handbuilt from coils and carved for additional texture, the reclaim clay was rich with manganese, which blistered in the kiln and left bumps and cracks across the surface. Encasing those imperfections in bronze is a way of honoring them.
Handmade using recycled clay and organic materials. Completed with multiple coats of bronze glaze with a satin finish.
